Drop Camp Hunts (Our Camps)

Read an article on the Ten Commandments of Horseback Hunting by Randy Palmer in the Oct 2008 issue of Western Horseman.
If you are a do-it-yourself hunter who wants to be dropped off in some of the best hunting areas in the Weminuche, but doesn’t want to be bothered with bringing your own camp, we provide drop camps for hunters. These have similar equipment to our full service camps with a wood heated kitchen wall tents, cots, pads and cooking equipment. You must provide all of your food, personal items, and hunting gear. There are no horses left in camp, but we will check on you every other day. Actually, in today’s world, most of our camps have cell phone access if you are willing to hike to the top of a ridge– and you should be able to do that if you are out hunting! If you want the hunting experience without the guide, this may be for you. We can also provide a cook if you desire.
